You will need:
1 onion
1 clove garlic or teaspoon ready crushed garlic
1 green pepper, sliced (take out pips)
1 tin chopped, peeled tomatoes
1 tablespoon tomato paste or tomato sauce
250 g mince (beef, ostrich, chicken)
Brown all of these in a tablespoon oil or butter for about 5 minutes.
Add a little wine or water (about half a cup or 125 ml) mixed with half a cube of beefstock and 2 tablespoons of tomato paste (or tomato sauce) and a tin of chopped peeled tomatoes, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Bring to boil, then lower temperature and simmer for about 15 to 20 mins.
Meanwhile bring a saucepan of water to the boil, add a quarter of a teaspoon of salt and a half a packet of spaghetti and boil for 10 mins taking care not to let it boil over. (Leave the lid of the saucepan off once its boiling.)
Drain in a colander or sieve.
Serve together with some salad.
